TSA/ VEX Robotics Challenge
TSA and VEX Robotics have partnered to bring the TSA/VEX Robotics Challenge to life. This competition allows students to put their STEM skills to work in a hands-on interactive environment.
Participation & Rules
To participate, chapters must affiliate with TSA at: https://www.registermychapter.com/tsa/nat/AffLogin.aspx
They must also register their VEX teams with Robot Events at: http://robotevents.com/robot-competitions/tsa
For event rules visit: http://robotevents.com/robot-competitions/tsa
Washington TSA highly recommends ordering everything (especially complete kits) through Andy Hill at NW Technical Products. Not only is he a sponsor for Washington TSA, he is also really good to work with. If you do order from him, please thank him for his support of TSA.
Here is what we recommend as a starting point. You can always add more but with this your students will be able to build a very competitive robot. Most TSA teams don't use any more than this:
- Classroom & Competition Super Kit 276-3000 https://www.vexrobotics.com/c-c-super.html
- Gateway Competition Upgrade Kit 276-2455 https://www.vexrobotics.com/276-2455.html
- 7.2V Robot Battery NiMH 3000mAh 276-1491 https://www.vexrobotics.com/batteries-and-chargers.html
- EasyC v5 for IQ & EDR - Perpetual $75 Part Number 63-2060-5001 Single Seat https://shop.intelitek.com/easyC-V5-for-IQEDR--Perpetual_p_122.html
The URLS listed are for the VEX Robotics site but again we recommend ordering from Andy Hill at NW Technical Products.
