WTSA Career Closet

Dress for Success with WTSA

Interest Form

The WTSA Career Closet is a statewide clothing collection and thrift-style experience at the 2027 WTSA State Conference. Throughout the year, chapters, advisors, alumni, members, and community supporters are encouraged to donate gently used professional clothing and TSA apparel that can be given a second life.

At the State Conference, members will be able to browse the collection and find professional, conference-ready pieces in a welcoming environment.

Donate what you can - Discover something new at State.

How Can My Chapter Take Part?

There is no required donation amount or formal commitment to participate. If your chapter has clothing to contribute, simply collect it throughout the year and bring it to WTSA at one of our designated drop-off opportunities.

  1. Collect - Encourage members, advisors, alumni, families, and community supporters to donate clean, gently used clothing. Consider hosting a small chapter clothing drive or making the Career Closet a chapter community service project!

  1. Sort & Pack - Before bringing donations to WTSA, please make sure items are:

  • Clean and in good condition

  • Appropriate for a professional or conference setting

Whenever possible, sort items by general category and pack them securely in bags or boxes. Please label each bag or box with your chapter name and the number of packages you’re bringing.

  1. Drop Off - Bring your donations to one of the designated WTSA collection opportunities below.

When & Where to Donate

WTSA 2027 State Conference - April

The primary Career Closet collection will take place during chapter arrival and check-in, on Wednesday, April 7th.

When your chapter arrives at the State Conference, you will already be visiting the designated check-in area to receive conference materials such as badges, polos, and other supplies.

Career Closet donations can be dropped off at this same location.

Simply let the check-in team know that you have Career Closet donations, and they will direct you to where to place them.

Before you arrive:

  • Pack donations securely

  • Label bags/boxes with your chapter name

  • Keep clothing clean and in good condition

  • Have donations ready to unload during chapter check-in

This keeps the arrival process quick and easy!

Get Involved

The Career Closet is a community-wide initiative, and there are several ways to help make it a success!

📋 Help Us Plan

If your chapter expects to participate, complete our Career Closet Interest Form. Your estimate helps WTSA plan for the number of donations, space, supplies, and volunteers needed at State Conference. This is not a commitment or required registration.

🤝 Donate as an Alumni or Community Supporter

Donations are welcome from TSA alumni, advisors, families, school staff, local businesses, and community organizations. Have professional clothing or TSA apparel that could use a new home? Let us know!

⭐ Volunteer at State

Help us sort donations, organize the Career Closet, welcome members, and keep the space running during State Conference.

Every donation, volunteer, and participating chapter helps us build a stronger WTSA community.

One Outfit, Two Stories!

A blazer sitting unused in one closet could become the outfit someone wears for their first presentation. A dress could become the outfit that helps a student walk into their first interview with confidence. A TSA shirt from a past conference could become another member's favorite piece of TSA history.

The Career Closet isn't just about dressing for competitions; it's about helping students grow into the professionals they're becoming. By giving quality clothing a second life, we're giving members another opportunity to dress for success, build confidence, and prepare for the future. Because TSA isn't just about learning technology, it's about learning to live in a technical world!
