Digital Photography
Description
Participants produce a digital portfolio addressing an annual theme (see below). Semifinalists participate in a timed challenge and demonstrate competency their knowledge of digital photography in a presentation/interview.
2025-26 Theme: “Reflections”
Members will take four photos that fit the theme of “reflections,” such as water, mirrors, glass, etc.

Event Deadlines
January 22, 2026
Students will need their Participant ID number, and password, from their advisor.
Students submit documentation portfolio for 2 of the required 4 photos (meaning the portfolio includes 2 photos (both original and edited), and the statements (c.i-iv) for those 2 photos)
March 2026
This is an early entry event!
Deadline is 5:00 pm, March 19
Students will need their Participant ID number, and password.
Students submit complete portfolio as a pdf file.
Washington TSA Rules
To compete, students must:
Belong to a currently affiliated TSA chapter
Be registered (by their TSA advisor) for competition by December 19, 2025 ($35)
Compete in the January 22, 2026 virtual competition (see individual event pages for details)
Be selected as a top competitor in their event(s) and invited to participate at State
Number of competitors is dependent on specific event
Qualifying competitor lists will be published by February 8, 2026
State Conference registration week February 23-27, 2026 (see state conference page for details)
At the state level, 3 individuals per chapter may compete.
